EQuest - Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

Can you get 8 people and a horse on a box?

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) involves the use of horses to facilitate emotional growth and learning.

This means that an individual or group will learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with horses, and then process (or discussing) their thoughts, beliefs, and patterns.

How do you steer a horse in a straight line from 6 feet back?

EAP is a collaborative effort between the licensed therapist, the horse professional, the clients and the horses.

In 2012 Culp Farm welcomed 658 clients in group sessions averaging in length one to two hours.

You do not need to know anything about horses to participate. There is no wrong way to “do” an activity there is only the experience.
